I Have Flashing Redness And Burning Sensations Unlike Hot Flashes

I have flashing redness and burning sensations unlike hot flashes and over the past few months getting worse. I feel it has nothing to do with hot flashes or menopause. What would cause this and should I be concerned? I am 55 and been having hot flashes for the past 10 years this is very different.
