I Have Had 2 Discectomies, The Most Recent One In

I have had 2 discectomies, the most recent one in June 2015. I still have constant numbness and pain in my right buttock and back of my right thigh. After walking or sitting for extended periods I am in horrible pain and my leg/ foot go numb.
Newest MRI shows everything is good. Had an EMG done last week, and was told the nerves were all working very well. The EMG was only performed from just above my knee and in my lower leg. I am concerned that there is damage farther up the nerve that wasnt tested. Can there be " dead spots",for lack of a better term, in nerves.
My Dr seems to be done treating me. He said. MRI and EMG were good, so he doesnt know what else to do.
Any ideas or help as to where I go from here would be great.

Thanks so much for your time
Missy
