I Have Had 2 Egd's 1 With Dilation, But My

I have had 2 egd's 1 with dilation, but my food is not digesting properly and doctor sent some biopsies off during last egd, and added some medication to my long list :/ Anyway, I got a call last week he wants a CT scan and ultrasound of abdomen and pelvic area. I'm wondering why, everything I have looked up is leading to a suspicion of cancer. Is there another reason these tests would be ordered 2-3 weeks after the last EGD?
