I Have Had 2 Injuries In The Past With My

I have had 2 injuries in the past with my tailbone. Tonight I slipped and fell down 4 steps straight on my tail bone...now I'm having massive pain in the lower back, and shooting pain from my left lower back down my leg...should I be going to an emergency room for xrays? I have 2 small children and being in pain to this level makes it hard to hold them.
