I Have Had 2 Surgeries On My Ankle. Separate FX

I have had 2 surgeries on my ankle. Separate FX on ea side of ankle with resulting ORIF on each side. I am undergoing physical therapy and all of a sudden my foot on affected side has gotten very painful. My Physical Therapist thinks it may be plantar fasciitis because of the fact affected area is red and swollen and as he pushes on that area of my foot I feel it all the way into my toe. My question is can this be an effect of the surgeries and PT tx's I have had
