I Have Had 3 Separate Spirometry Tests And My Results

I have had 3 separate spirometry tests and my results are between 107 and 118%. I have little response to flovent inhalers. My doctor said that I could not have asthma with such good test results and feels that my coughing is due to sinus problems. A pulmonary doctor wants to do more advanced lung function tests.
Are those tests necessary to determine if I have asthma?
