Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had 5 admissions to Hospital over a 10 month period since Oct 2015 with small bowel obstruction secondary to adhesions. On my first admission I had an Appendicectomy performed & adhesiolysis via mini laparotomy incision.Consequent treatments on admission were conservative, drip & NG Tube but I have been asked to think about having elective surgery to perform further adhesiolysis. Is this advisable or am I at risk of developing more adhesions.?
