I Have Had GERD For Some Time Now. I'm Taking

I have had GERD for some time now. I'm taking 40 mg Nexium daily, and sometimes have difficulty swallowing with my food coming back up on occasion. Some nights I will be awakened by stomach acids coming up into my throat and mouth. I will be having an endoscopy done soon and hope it's nothing more serious. I drink quite a bit of Mt. Dew throughout the day but do not smoke or drink alcohol. Any other suggestions?
