I Have Had GERD For Years But Latety Even Though

I have had GERD for years but latety even though I am on a very good diet, my problem is as if I have a
very bad throat , but do not seem to have a cold. Difficulty in bringing up mucous. a dry cough and on rare
occasion bring up a thick, yellow mucous. Am concerned as I have been told that prolonged GERD
could lead to Barrets disease and even cancer, What should I do ?
