I Have Had A Bartholin Gland Cyst Removal 1 Year

I have had a Bartholin Gland Cyst removal 1 year and 2 weeks ago. Was abstinent until my first try about 2 weeks ago. I was not able to feel anything during intercourse,sharp pain and uncomfortable at penetration, not able to consume the sexual act, just my partner and I would add it felt numbed.
Is that a normal feeling in this type of situation? I thought is free consultation. Nevermind .
