I Have Had A UTI That Evolved Into A Kidney

I have had a UTI that evolved into a kidney infection. I am currently taking prescribed meds (1,000mg antibiotic a day). Still have pain in lower back, burning during urination, and now bloating of the abdomen. Is this consistent with a kidney infection that just need a different treatment approach?
