I Have Had A Bruise On The Top Of My

I have had a bruise on the top of my foot for about 5 months now. There is also a growth underneath that I recently noticed. I went to the doctor and she referred me to a podiatrist thinking it may be a type of benign tumor. The area does not hurt but is tinder and tingles. The discoloration gets worse when under heat such as hot bath water. I'm just wondering what type of tumor it could be so I can research it more. thanks
