I Have Had A Bump On My Labia For A

I have had a bump on my labia for a while now. its usually hard but when i attempt to pop it, it doesn't pop. It doesn't hurt until try to pop it so I stop. Today i attempted to pop it and it finally popped but bled profusely then the bleeding stopped. some pus came out as well. i was able to use tweezers and pull out a hair. i shave quite often. could it have been an ingrown hair. I put alcohol on it so it doesn't get affected. What should i do in the coming days? and how can i prevent this from happening again? I don't think it is an STD because it doesn't resemble any of the horrific pics on google and i'm too scared and embarrassed to go to the doctor. Please help.
