I Have Had A Chest Cold And Still Have A

I have had a chest cold and still have a cough. Now my left side hurts when I cough or blow my nose. It is around the kidney area. Is there anything I can do to help. I have not gone to the doctor because i thought they would just tell me I have a cold. I feel much better except for the cough.
