I Have Had A Chest Cold For 2 Weeks Now

I have had a chest cold for 2 weeks now and I have a very dry moth, very thirsty and now my mouth and throat feel like there is a small rash...though I can't see anything and I have a weird taste in my mouth. What can this be and how can I get rid of it?
