I Have Had A Clogged Left Ear For 7 Days.

I have had a clogged left ear for 7 days. It began when I was baptized in a cold, rushing river. I had some congestion then. I lost my voice ( without a whisper- nothing at all) for 3 days, and had a painful sore throat and head and chest congestion and cough.
I had immense ear pain the first day, which subsided. The ear has off/ on pain and continual fullness. I have a sensation in my ear that is like holding a seashell over your ear. I have used the valsalva maneuver several times. My ear pops and becomes immediately clogged as before. I have had craniosacral therapy which relieved congestion, but left the ear clogged. I have had some relief with lymphatic massage. I have used garlic oil ear drops, and tried apple cider vinegar and isopropyl alcohol (50-50) for no results. I used an onion poultice baked in oven that brought relief from pain, and a device called ear ease that is a cup you fill with warm water and place over the ear. I am taking several herbs and eating garlic/ cayenne/ honey to help break up the congestion. All nasal/head/chest congestion is relieved.
. This ear clogging has happened now 4 times from age 19-39 and is always the left ear. Can this be treated without antibiotics or steroids? Could I possibly be in danger of hearing loss? And can I still run and workout without causing further damage to my ear? My ear is hurting as I write.
