I Have Had A Cold For A Week Now. Today

I have had a cold for a week now. Today I went to the doctor. They gave me augmentin and said it was a sinus infection. They also gave me Benzonatate for the cough. My cough is so bad that I can not sleep and the fits of coughing are causing small bits of urine to come out almost every time. I am in my 40's so I am not older with any type of normal leakage when coughing problem. I have taken 2 pills of the Benzonatate and it is not helping at all. Any advice? The doc told me to stop the over the counter meds and let the prescription meds kick in. Though the cough medicine wasnt doing much, it was allowing me to rest for a few hours. Any thoughts?
