I Have Had A Cough For About A Week And

I have had a cough for about a week and two days ago a felt something in the back of my throat and hasn't gone away. I noticed it's getting harder to swallow but there is no fever, or pain. It was very painful about 3 to two days ago. I don't want to take antibiotics If i definitely don't need them. What should I do?
