I Have Had A Dry Cough For About 6 Weeks;

I have had a dry cough for about 6 weeks; when I take a deep breath, I experience pain (1-10, mine = 7); I've lost 15 pounds in less than a month and I am extremely tired. 3 weeks ago our VP was terminated, my life was threatened and I have not had time to process the entire experience. We have lost 7 employees in 6 months and my work load is off the charts. I met with HR yesterday and said I need to walk away from my job for a few weeks. I have emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted. Cough...just need rest?
