I Have Had A Dry Cough For Two Weeks, Some

I have had a dry cough for two weeks, some days none at all and others feeling tired all day and almost like I am also getting a cold, but mostly just a dry cough. Some days my throat hurts but I don’t know if that’s from coughing. It doesn’t seem to happen at night. Can you start a cold with a dry cough first? Should I see a doctor, or should I wait. Also, I am scheduled for a colonoscopy in three days and wondering if I should reschedule. Thank you!
