I Have Had A Harsh Cough For 2 Weeks Now

I have had a harsh cough for 2 weeks now last night I coughed so hard my ear popped and it feels like the drum burst ...I do have lots of previous ear issues with this ear with drum rupturing tubs and infection ... Do I need to be worried or do any meds ?
