Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a hip replacement 3 years ago and it has been marvellous. My other hip is now hurting after an x-ray it shows no deterioration. My consultant gave me an injection as I had inflammation on the outside of my hip and then gave me a lumber facet with an epididural a few weeks later. At first I had no pain (3 days) and then I did two lots of gentle yoga (2 days ago) on one day and the pain is back and I again have a job walking and also getting up and down stairs the pain is at. Would an MIR scan show up any deteristion that an X-ray doesn't ? I am thinking have one privately as my doctor does not think this will help. I have knowledge of case where it did show deterioration and which had not shown on the X-ray.
