I Have Had A Numbness/tingling Feeling In The Rim Of

I have had a numbness/tingling feeling in the rim of my upper and lower lids for a couple of days and today experienced blurred vision only in my peripheral vision, no headache or pain in my eyes. Now my vision is cleared but I have a mild headache. what could cause such strange symptoms?
