I Have Had A Persistent, Dry Cough Since The End

I have had a persistent, dry cough since the end of July. I've been to the Dr. 3 times and have been perscribed antibiotics, steroids and percription cough syrup and nothing seems to help. I don't smoke.
I don't know what to do, the coughing is becoming painful
