I Have Had A Round Bump On The Right Side

I have had a round bump on the right side of my head which is hard can be tendor on occasions. I feel it has grown larger in the past few weeks and is making me nervous. I have not been able to sleep and have been experiencing horrible when i do. i have also had a cough for weeks with tons of mucus. I feel week due to being sick. what could this bump be? my mother had cancer twice in the kidney and thyroid. i am worried i may also have it
