I Have Had A Severe Sore Throat For Days Now

I have had a severe sore throat for days now (43 years old, tonsils out when I was 17) and fever off and on but now having pain in my right side of neck; like pain with stiffness. Also, last night heart palpatations (bad until I took Tylenol). is this something I should really be worried about? in general feel like crud. bad
