I Have Had A Sharp, Severe Cramping Pain In My

I have had a sharp, severe cramping pain in my right upper abdomen located near my ribs. Could this be from dehydration or could it be more serious - like liver issues? it isnt constant - although when it strikes, it is painful just like a cramp. i have to twist or change positions to ease the pain or eleviate the pain all together.

any ideas what this could be?
