I Have Had A Small Scrape On My Knee That

I have had a small scrape on my knee that seems to have gotten infected. All of a sudden there was a lump of pus close to the scrape. my knee has become red, swollen and fairly sore. I am currently traveling and went to a pharmacy where they gave me some Amoxicillin. I am wondering if this will be enough to take the infection away?
