I Have Had A Sore Big Toe For Months. It

I have had a sore big toe for months. It seems to improve after a week of antibiotic with bandaid, then it comes back again. I have pedicures monthly, so I don't think it is ingrown, But the is nail is not flat. I curves said gnome gicantly into the sides What might this be?
