I Have Had A Sore Lump Right On My Panty

I have had a sore lump right on my panty line for about a week. I went to ER and they diagnosed cellulitis/abscess and gave me antibiotics. I have had abscesses before and they usually come to head and start draining. I have been using warm compresses and hot showers but it's no way close to draining. Can it just go away without draining? I'm 45 year old with history of Ulcerative Colitis. Thank you
