I Have Had A Sore Throat Accompanied By A Sore

I have had a sore throat accompanied by a sore and swollen tongue that has progressively gotten worse over the last two weeks. The pain when swallowing is under my left jaw line in the corner between my trachea and lymph nodes and is worse through the night and in the morning. I am starting to feel some irritation in my ear. My lymph nodes are painful to touch but not swollen. There is no redness in my throat at all. I went to urgent care and the doctor did not have any clue what was causing this pain. CBC came back normal except a slightly low MPV. Any idea what this could be?
