I Have Had A Uretic Stent In For 3 Weeks

I have had a uretic stent in for 3 weeks now due to UPJ and I had a laparoscopic pyleoplasty. this is when I'm supposed to be on my period. I'm feeling really crampy and I'm spotting but haven't really started my period yet. Is it normal to miss a period while I have the stent in? Would the stent stop my period from happening?
