I Have Had A Very Slight Amount Of Gray Discharge

I have had a very slight amount of gray discharge yesterday and today, and my period was expected yesterday. Is this a typical pregnancy sign? I took two ept tests today and they came up negative. I have never missed a period without being pregnant, but I am 46 and have been told that things may change for me soon. Is this a change?
