I Have Had An Ongoing Sore, Dry Throat That Also

I have had an ongoing sore, dry throat that also has the back of my tongue sore. I have a metallic taste in my mouth. I have had this condition on and off for several months. A doctor did have me treated by gargling with medications but the symptoms have returned.
