I Have Had An Operation To Remove My Large Bowel

I have had an operation to remove my large bowel 2 weeks ago today and I now have an ileostomy bag. Everything has been going well and the the bag is still working but today I have severely painful trapped wind in my left hand side and my stomach has swollen. Up so I look pregnant. It's made me feel sick the pain is so bad and put me off eating although I have eaten a bit. Is it normal for this wind to still be present after 12 hours?
