I Have Had An Outbreak Of Shingles Now Going On

I have had an outbreak of shingles now going on two weeks. The rash is subsiding but the residual pain under rib cage often radiating from the back or front to back is lingering. Gabapentin does not help that much - began low does of Ativan just to sleep (but NOT combined with any other pain med other than advil. Do I need to be concerned this pain is associated with another malady such as gall bladder? of just it take this long for the body to recover from the nerve pain of shingles outbreak - not a mild one.
