I Have Had Ankle Pain For About A Year Now...

I have had ankle pain for about a year now... it has suddenly gotten way worse and it constantly throbbing and anching on the outside of my ankle and now getting pins and needles feeling in my foot up to the middle of my chin. I got blood work done and it showed high white blood cell count. Scheduled for a MRI in 2 weeks, any ideas as to what is going on?
