I Have Had Arthritis Diagnosed In My Left Knee. I

I have had arthritis diagnosed in my left knee. I had minor surgery to fix the a meniscus tear and remove a baker's cyst. Now my right knee, 2 years later, is experiencing the same pain/symptoms out of the blue. It seems rather sudden almost overnight that my right knee has issues. Does arthritis just strike suddenly or is there a more sinister reason for the sudden pain?
