I Have Had Asthma/copd For 20 Years And Have Been

I have had asthma/copd for 20 years and have been taking prednisone almost daily since then. I have been on several tapers from 60mg or 40mg down to 10mg. alot . Since Sept 2014 each time I have been on a taper, I feel very depressed and extremely fatigued. I tear up alot for no reason also. I am on a daily antidepressant deproxetine (generic for Cibalta) of 60mg and since I have hypothyroidism I also take 75mcg of synthroid daily. I self medicate my pred and now I am on 10mg. a day. Do you think that the terribe depression and fatigue is caused by the pred taper? And what can I take instead of Pred?
