I Have Had Bowel Issues For Years. I Assumed It

I have had bowel issues for years. I assumed it was IBS but my parents asked about Crohns disease? what is the difference? I have episodes that last days at a time of chronic stomach & back pain that make me weak. Majority of the time I have cold sweats, chills, and get dizzy.
