I Have Had Chronic Heartburn For A Few Months. It

I have had chronic heartburn for a few months. It became severe in December; I was taking zantac on a daily basis. Then I took a 2 week course of prilosec otc but my symptoms returned 2 or 3 days later. This past weekend, my heartburn was so severe, it took my breath away..this was accompanied by burning in my stomach. I went to an urgent care facility who put me on imperative and sent me to a local lab for an h pylori test. It was negative. Should I have endoscopy done?
