I Have Had Chronic Scrotal Pain For More Than 5

I have had chronic scrotal pain for more than 5 years now... been to the Urologist multiple times. They want to prescribe pain meds but I really don't like the idea of taking pharmaceuticals... especially since I am a recovering alcoholic and drug user... I really want relief from the pain in a permanent way. How often is a Cord Block procedure used for Epididymitis treatment. Is this an option? I am 41 years old and otherwise in good health.
