I Have Had Continious Ear Ache For Over 12 Months

I have had continious ear ache for over 12 months now. I've had numerous anti biotics, sprays and it's only briefly taken away the pain. I've been to the ENT and they have told me, because there is no infection, or build up of mucus, that they can't do anything. It hurts when I use the phone, especially in my right ear. I need some advice, I'm thnking on going back to a different ENT specialist, as the previous doctor was very dismissive. Any advice would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks Paul, Liverpool, England.
