I Have Had Diarrhea Since Tuesday Morning Of This Week.

I have had diarrhea since Tuesday morning of this week. I began using loperamide late Tuesday night when it became obvious that the diarrhea was hanging on. I stopped using the loperamide last night, Thursday. I went to my gastroenterologist midday today. He diagnosed my condition as a probable viral condition that had to run its course. He gave me a diet of high fiber foods but did not include meat that I could/should avoid or that I could eat. Can you help me with that question?
