I Have Had Diverticulosis But Now I Think It's IBS.

I have had diverticulosis but now I think it's IBS. For the past 2 days I have had lower abdominal pain, cramps that hurt. I have had gas plus feeling of the need to go to the bathroom to no real event:) I am able to walk around, shower, and no fever. Feel good with exception of this lower discomfort. I have tried to walk around but it is uncomfortable. Do I need to call my Dr. For a script or will I get better in time if I just don't eat fatty foods etc.
