I Have Had Intermittent Pain In My Lower Left Back

I have had intermittent pain in my lower left back rib cage for probably 20 years. I have complained to doctors, but nobody ever seemed to care enough to check it out. The pain has worsened over the years, and today it is especially bad. Just not sure if I should go to er. Am seeing a Gastroentrology PA next Tuesday for another issue and wonder if I should bring this up to him.
