I Have Had Itchy Skin Since The Middle Of March,

I have had itchy skin since the middle of March, It has progressed, I itch on my thighs, my buttocks, my arms. Scabs have formed from picking on it, and I'm told not to scratch, it's hard not to scratch, what is going on with me? I'd like to know since I'm starting to lose sleep from the itchiness.
