I Have Had Left Sided Jaw Pain That Comes And

I have had left sided jaw pain that comes and goes for about the past month. I went to the dentist thinking it might be a cavity. No cavities but minimal receding gums and cold sensitivity. I am using sensodyne toothpaste and that is working. I am still experiencing jaw pain and it gets sharp at times. Ibuprofen relieves the pain but it comes back again in 4 hours.
