I Have Had Neck Pain Behind My Ear On Both

I have had neck pain behind my ear on both sides for about a month. I was first thinking just a stiff neck and needed to purchase a new pillow, now I'm not so sure. Yesterday I visited urgent care due to vertigo. After CAT scan with contrast they discovered a 4 mm right middle cerebral artery bifurcation aneurysm. Can the neck pain be associated? I have made an appointment with a neurologist, but doing some research on my own as well.
