I Have Had Pain On The Right Side Of My

I have had pain on the right side of my head now for two months....from occipital bone to the front that burns, is sometimes very hot and sometimes feels slightly more swollen than the left side. I turned my head to speak to the grocery clerk and it felt like I had pulled a muscle or something. I have had this happen occasionally since I was a kid but now it hasn't gone away and that has never happened before.
